Greetings

Welcome to Monarch!

Monarch International Preschool, located in the heart of Minato Mirai in Yokohama, being established in April 2010 to meet the needs of today’s child.

Your child will receive a gentle introduction to things that take a lifetime to learn. Our dedicated international teaching staff will encourage and cultivate your child’s emerging personality, natural curiosity, and unique potential. For each step of the way, your child’s developmental readiness and confidence will be inspired, nurtured, and respected.

Providing young children an opportunity to learn about themselves and each other in a loving environment empowers children and helps them to build confidence they need in order to develop warm, trusting relationships with their teachers and peers. We firmly believe these are important connections that foster sensitivity, giving children a positive sense of themselves and their place in the world.

We are committed to providing a caring and rich learning environment that consistently challenges your child to try new things. You can expect frequent, ongoing communications from our staff that provide insight into your child’s growth, challenges and achievements.

Let us partner with you throughout your child’s preschool years and celebrate each new milestone and accomplishment!

Mission Statement

Monarch International Preschool is committed to the cognitive, emotional, physical and social development of our children and their families. We strive to provide a quality child centered education and to instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Educational Philosophy

We recognize that children are natural learners and that they acquire knowledge individually in different ways. Children are encouraged to learn by interacting with their environment and through the relationships they develop. By creating trusting relationships with children, the teachers help the students develop motor, emotional, cognitive, and social skills. Play is crucial to learning, and it is incorporated in our daily activities and lessons.

In our warm and loving community, parents, teachers and administrators are encouraged to engage in on-going communication with open-mindedness and mutual respect. It is our goal for our children to develop empathy, self-awareness, independence, healthy relationships, critical thinking and most importantly, the basis for a life-long love of learning.
